And there goes my life, passing by with every departing flight.
And it’s been so hard, so much time so far apart.
But I will see you again, I will see you again,
A long time from now.
Got to hear this last night and it was amazing, and so fitting…

We were loved so much that an innocent man sacrificed himself for us. He was mocked, whipped, spat on, nailed and hung to a cross, left to suffocate and stabbed. And whilst he was enduring this pain, with our weight on that cross - he cried out “Father, forgive them, for the know not what they do”. By his blood, we have grace. By his blood, we have love. By his blood, we have redemption. And by his blood, we have forgiveness.
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our inequities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed”
- Isaiah 53:5
“What tragic waste when people turn away from the Calvary Road of love and suffering. All the riches of the glory of God in Christ are on that road. All the sweetest fellowship with Jesus is there. All the ecstasies of joy. All the clearest sightings of eternity… All of humblest affections. All the most tender acts of forgiving kindness. All the deepest discoveries of God’s word. They are all on Calvary road where Jesus walks with his people… On this road, and this road alone, life is Christ and death is gain…”
